 Harlem Slim is the best player around of Traditional Delta Blues and Piedmont material. He captures the power of this material in authentic and stylish fashion. Nobody plays this music better. Delta Thug is a great album and anybody who likes slide guitar, delta blues or ragtime music will really enjoy it. Can't wait for his next album. This album, along with everything else he has recorded, is outstanding! The only thing better than listening to Harlems CD...................is seeing him live. Harlem Slim is THE Delta Blues, and Piedmont Rag guitarist. Note-for-note, his playing is dead-on traditional. His five CD's are a must for all serious collectors of the blues and rag styles, and anybody who wants to hear how these styles are supposed to be rendered. He's already a smash in Europe and Scandinavia...maybe he'll get discovered here now. Don't pass this one up.
